SMP to replicate thick hair
Various Sheffield locations
Certified Practitioner
Scalp micropigmentation (SMP) is a cosmetic procedure that uses tiny dots of pigment to create the appearance of thicker hair. It's also known as a hair tattoo.
It's commonly used to cover thinning areas on the scalp or to create the illusion of shaved hair, stubble, or greater density in hair-bearing areas.
It can also be used to hide birthmarks or scars.
Our expert technician Lana Todd uses a thin needle to deposit pigment into the scalp. The dots vary in size and depth to create the illusion of hair follicles. The procedure is non-invasive and doesn't require surgery or anaesthesia.

Session 3 is usually a few hours.
Prices do not increase if you require the full session times.
SMP treatments take place at one of our Sheffield clinic locations and are usually scheduled a few weeks apart. At booking, you will schedule Session 1, and we’ll schedule Sessions 2 and 3 at your first appointment.
At booking stage, you will provide information about your requirement, which we’ll discuss during your free-of-charge consultation.
